Arbovirus
(enveloped virus)

These viruses have glycoproteins on their envelope, which are potential targets for external influences.

Arboviruses (Arthropod-borne viruses) are – except for the genus Coltivirus – enveloped viruses. Most of them have an RNA genome.

Arboviruses pathogenic to humans include the yellow fever virus, TBE virus, dengue virus, and the West Nile virus.

Arbovirus is primarily transmitted by insects and ticks.
